"Baby", male adult amazon river dolphin at Zoo Duisburg.
Taken July 2009, do not steal!

Did you know?
-Baby is a male amazon river dolphin, and already over 35 years old.
-Amazon river dolphins live in the Amazon and neighbor rivers like Apure and Orinoco, in South America.
-Today they are endangered because the river is polluted from garbage and poisons (for example quicksilver that flows into the river when humans are producing gold).
They are also being hunted a lot now to use their meat as fish bait

-Baby came to the zoo in 1975 and his mother died of the poisoned river water, so he was handraised and he is very "tame".
The girl in the photo is his best friend, she plays with him and gives him toys. One of his fav toys is this brush.

I truely love him. He has such a great personality. I am sometimes invited backstage and got to pet or feed or play with him, and those days are always the best days of my life
