Robbie taken july 2009 at Zoo Duisburg. Do not steal!
People keep asking themselves what the sound is they are often hearing at Zoo Duisburgs seal exhibit.
It is Robbie, hanging underwater very close to the mural, and making a snarrling, gargling sound.
Some people think he is snorting, some think he is drowning or growling. None of this is true.
He actually is (my thought) marking his territory. If this thought is wrong, my second thought would be that he does it when bored.
